Rebecca Faro is a fine, passionate dancer; as in life also in her poetry. Words, phrases, images, by turn spin, whirl, float, hold balance - sometimes restful sometimes tense - advance on you, disturb, caress, penetrate, elude and illuminate, all in equal measure and in ways that will defy you the reader to remain unmoved. Ranging from soulful reverie to fond remembrance, playful musing to the spiritually meditative, her verse is both deeply personal and at the same time readily relatable. Subtly shifting ground from the liminal to the mythic or fantastical, then again back to the strongly sensual, the poems collected here add up to a rich evocation and celebration of what it is to have lived with vibrant awareness, and still to be embracing the only business which really matters - that of simply, fully, being. Imbued with zestful energy and infused with an exquisite sensitivity, unmistakably her own, Rebecca’s poems flow with dynamism and grace; each page in this her first collection a stage on which she dances beautifully for our delight.
It certainly isn't often that the hustle and bustle of a busy Friday can
be interrupted with a very welcome hour of contemplation in the form of
exquisite poetry written from the heart and to touch the heart.
Launching her long awaited first book of poetry, Rebecca Faro had
travelled from her home in Spain to read to us from it. Choosing a
selection which included the book's title poem 'Catching the Fall',
Rebecca breathed life into her work as we sat with her.

Rebecca’s poetry rolls around my head like drops of evocative gorgeousness . Then her words drop
to my heart opening it up as I am reminded of things my soul forgot. She is a very special and
talented poet - The Mary Oliver of Southern Spain.

They help us connect to our own authenticity. Let these words shine out in our world.
I caught myself both lost and found in Rebecca’s poetry. Her words so personal, traversing the emotional contentedness of all our experiences. Beautifully accessible in a perfectly complex world.
Every single poem in 'Catching the fall' is beautifully written, to be read again and again as nourishment for our souls. Sharing images from her life's journey, Rebecca involves the reader in a gentle and truthful way, because she speaks of experiences, wishes and emotions we can all relate to. Rebecca has a poet's magic touch; she captures the essence of things and shows us there is meaning and grace in all we go through, love, joy, sorrow, grief...Her first collection of poems has become a cherished friend to me; every time I pick it up I find something inspiring and insightful in her words.
