2012 is the Chinese year of the Water Dragon, with its union of the beneficial powers of the elements; the coming together of matter and spirit. The dragon is innovative, enterprising, flexible, self-assured, brave, passionate; mistress/master of the primal energy of chaos and the unconscious, the source of creativity. Working with our own personal dragon energies, we’ll explore this abundant source through authentic movement, trance dance, creative art/writing and ritual/improvisation.

 No previous dance or artistic experience is needed - just the willingness to explore and enjoy a joyous celebration of ourselves! As our totem for the week, Dragon will help us tap energies that will allow us to live more deeply, enriching our lives and those of the people around us.
